Our Commitment to Fair Housing
The Fair Housing Act of 1968 was a landmark achievement in the civil rights movement, prohibiting discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing. As REALTIST® members, we carry forward this legacy every day — not merely as a legal obligation, but as a moral imperative.
The Gulf Coast Association of REALTIST® actively works to dismantle systemic barriers that have historically prevented Black Americans and other marginalized communities from accessing homeownership and building generational wealth.

We provide training and resources to help members, clients, and the public understand their rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Act.
Community Advocacy
We engage with local, state, and federal legislators to strengthen fair housing protections and hold violators accountable.

We stand firmly against all forms of housing discrimination and support victims in understanding and exercising their legal rights.
Wealth Building
We believe homeownership is the cornerstone of wealth building. Our programs are designed to close the racial homeownership gap and create lasting economic equity.
